Time To Clean!

Tags

Good Afternoon!

So today is my second day of this seven-day detox cleanse I am trying. The cleanse basically only allows you to eat foods that are naturally produced by the environment or foods using only natural ingredients. For example, I am allowed to eat broccoli, apples, almonds, etc. But I am not allowed to eat any meat, soy, or dairy products. If you’re interested in trying a cleanse you should definitely do this one! In my opinion, I think it’s healthier and better for you than doing those three day cleanses with weird concoctions. Good luck!!

Hi everyone!

I felt like an introduction as to who I am was necessary. My name is Adrienne. I am twenty years old. I am studying Psychology and Pre-Law in California and I’m hoping to become a lawyer! I am vegetarian, love music, the beach, and staying healthy of course :) I say “love n” because I had originally made this blog for a different reason and wanted to be anonymous but I changed the purpose of the blog. I still felt like I should keep up with the theme so I’m going to continue to do so. This about me sounds so simple and formal but I honestly don’t know what else to say haha. Anyways thanks so much for following and liking what I post, I really appreciate it! I hope this blog keeps everyone motivated and helps everyone reach their goals! Good luck everyone!

Love,

N

PS: I have an Instagram that I don’t use for my fitness life but for my daily life. If you follow me I’m definitely going to follow you back especially since you found me through this blog. adrienne_sawan

Working Out Not Working Out?

Hi everyone!

I haven’t posted in forever, I’ve been really busy. But I hope that everyone has been keeping up with working out and eating healthy! I just want to make something clear: NO amount of working out can make up for bad eating. Most of weight loss comes from watching what you eat and eating right. With that said, I want to share a way that will help you keep up and keep track with what you eat. It’s an app called “My Fitness Pal.” It’s such an amazing app! You can track (online or on your phone) everything you eat, set goals on how many pounds you want to lose (or gain) per week, track the amount of fat, carb, sugar, etc. intake, and so much more! You can even add friends on the app. It’s an amazing way to keep your food intake in check and it really works! Every single person I know (including myself) who has actually stuck to it has lost weight! It’ll require a huge change in the way you eat such as measuring everything down to the teaspoon but it’ll work. If you really want it you can do it. Try it out! Good luck!

Strawberry Purée – Endless Possibilities!

Hi everyone!

So I bought a huge box of fresh strawberries (and other fruit) from Costco. It was just way too much fruit to keep up with. The strawberries began to get squishy and I still had half of the box left! So I decided instead of tossing them, why not make a purée of them? Simply wash them, cut them up, and throw it in a blender! Store it in a tight jar or container. Keep in mind that it is still fresh fruit so it doesn’t last forever but putting the purée in the freezer will help it last longer. And there are so many things to use it for! Ice cream topping, yogurt topping, topping for other fruit, strawberry lemonade, margaritas, sorbet, smoothies, frosting, the possibilities are endless! Enjoy!

Caprese Salad

Hi guys!

Summer is here (finally)!!! Salads are always good to eat so long as it isn’t drenched in unhealthy dressings. Most of the calories come from that! Here’s a salad that is healthy, low in calories, and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • Grape Tomatoes: I get mine from Costco. They’re sweet and come in a huge box

  •  Mozzarella Cheese: I also get this from Costco. It comes in a pack of two and it’s already presliced for you.

  • Balsamic Vinegar: Black or white, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure it’s BALSAMIC.
  • Mint: This is optional, I usually eat the salad without it but if you have dried mint flakes, a little bit tastes good.

Step 1: Cut the tomatoes into three like this:

Step 2: Cut the presliced mozzarella slices into 12 like this:

You will use approximately two slices of cheese for every 8 grape tomatoes.

Step 3: Add balsamic vinegar. It’s up to you how much you want, not too much but enough to see it at the bottom of the bowl.

Step 4: If you want, add mint. Mix and enjoy! :)
